[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I have a fair size property in the NT and a smaller property in Qld. After operating the property in the NT for 4 years and getting a handle on costs, I soon worked out the time and money spent on checking tank levels to ensure there was stock water.

I investigated telemetry through MLA funded projects that had been done and then contacted producers who had installed it to monitor similar water systems to mine.

There were many different experiences had by those using telemetry, however many had concerns about the initial capital cost of installation, the R&M required to maintain it and the lack of back up from the suppliers.

I then saw an article on FarmBot in Beef Central and contacted Craig after visiting his web site. What I liked most was the ease of installation, and secondly that the data was via satellite so there would be no R&M required by me, it would either work or not.
I purchased 2 tank sensors as a trial in December 2016, indicating I would equip all my supply tanks with sensors if they worked. The original 2 sensors were faultless and have since purchased another 7 with automatic rain gauges. A cost benefit analysis suggested a return on capital in 6 months.

The FarmBot team monitors the sensors in the field and they are the only supplier I have dealt with that emailed me to tell me that one of his products was faulty and there was another in the post to me before I was aware of the fault in the sensor.

I am a committee member of the Northern Industry Beef Research Council who have a say in directing beef producers levy $ into research and costs savings for the industry. I would suggest tank level sensors are one of the most cost beneficial technologies I have come across.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After a series of stock water issues, we decided that it was time to invest in water tank level sensors. We found FarmBot on the web and after a couple of phone calls purchased 2 units.

The units are very competitively priced and easy to install, and have now given us peace of mind that our stock water is right. We were so impressed with the system that after 3 weeks we purchased another unit.

The purchase of the units coincided with a major breakdown of our automatic pumping system. Checking our tank levels could be done using our phones; from anywhere that reception was available, saving time and fuel, by not having to physically drive to each of the storages. We only went to the pump when the tanks needed pumping.

The minimum tank level alert was invaluable, allowing us to avoid any potential major water issues. The service from FarmBot is unbelievable, with emails responded to almost immediately. We recently had an issue with a unit on a Friday evening. On the Saturday morning, we received an email informing us of the issue and that a replacement unit would be sent to us on Monday. The constant remote monitoring of our sensors by Farmbot ensures that our sensors are working correctly.

We can highly recommend the FarmBot system and the amazing service that we have received during the time we have owned the units.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are exceptionally happy with the FarmBot water monitoring system. From having the first trial unit to now, I must congratulate FarmBot on a very fast evolution to a product that we now find essential to our day-to-day operations.

We have come a long way in a short amount of time and your continued personal interaction with what we have now and the ability to configure and tailor each monitor is a feature that proves FarmBot’s monitor to be far superior to any other system I have trialled.

I now have a minimum of six people on any aggregation that are alerted to the fact that we may have an issue with a water system and we have the ability to solve any problem before it has the chance to become a very big problem that will likely take several days to correct.

The ability to look at and collate water usage and available water at the source is an invaluable tool for managing our operations and the FarmBot system has the ability to show this data on any phone or computer screen.

I would recommend this system to any person that has livestock that relies on a water source from a tank that can be monitored. Any potential issue will inevitably happen at midnight rather than midday and we have had a few breakages on a water system that we have been able to fix the very same day without the risk of an animal health issue the next day.

As value for money, FarmBot have developed a system that I would recommend to anyone. The savings that I have made in animal production and wages as well as the added peace of mind knowing what is actually going on in any water system is invaluable.
